Updated Guide to setup MetaMask for Spartan Protocol
Spartan Protocol, in its current form, acts as an Automated Market Maker protocol allowing users to perform the below tasks:
- Add Liquidity to a Pool (to earn fees and pool rewards)
- Swap assets to and from SPARTA
- Bond+Mint, or more simply to lock a token into the Pool for a 12 month period, and receive the paired SPARTA as the reward (as well as any associated fees and pool rewards, of course)
Interacting with the AMM is quite simple, and only requires a moderate level of Crypto knowledge. If you have used other AMM’s, such as Uniswap, then you are halfway there.
Wallet Connection
Spartan Protocol recommends Metamask as a wallet of choice, as it’s a very common web-based wallet currently in use by a large number of the crypto community.
Access the Spartan Protocol Pools and log into your MetaMask browser if requested.
The dApp may pop up immediately for you asking for a login, or already be logged in if you have used it before.
Please note — after logging in, be sure to select the drop-down list at the top of your wallet and update the Network to Binance Smart Chain.
Users that have not previously used Metamask on Binance Smart Chain may need to add a Custom RPC, as per the above image.
To do so, on your MetaMask wallet, drop down your accounts and go to the settings page.
Choose ‘network’ from the menu and click ‘add new network’
Now enter the details as follows.
Network Name: BSC Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/
Once done click ‘save’ to add BSC Mainnet to your MetaMask wallet
That’s it! You’re ready to dive into the Pools!
