Summary

The below guide was BUIDL’d by community members through the SpartanBounty program. We will reach out and add their socials if they would like, but for now, we will keep the contributors anonymous!

This will guide you through steps on performing a basic swap transaction between two BEP20 assets within the Spartan Protocol DAppV1

Getting Set Up

Step 1.

If you don’t have it already, install the Metamask browser extension. Download only from the official site. Once downloaded, create a wallet.

Step 2.

Add the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Network to Metamask.

More in-depth info connecting MetaMask to BSC here:

Connecting to Spartan Protocol (updated b)
Spartan Protocol, in it’s current form, acts as an Automated Market Maker protocol allowing users to perform the below tasks:

Step 3.

Navigate to https://pools.spartanprotocol.org/ or go to “Join Pool” in the upper right corner of https://spartanprotocol.org/.

Step 4.

Make sure to switch your network to BSC in Metamask.
The wallet will connect automatically if you have interacted with the DApp previously (if not, it will ask you to approve the use of the wallet with the DApp)

Step 5.

Choose the asset from the list of pools you would like to swap.'

Press “Swap”.

Step 6.

Prepare to trade.
Input: estimated input quantity of tokens
Rate: estimated output rate after fees and slippage
Fee: estimated fee (this fee goes directly to the pools for liquidity providers)
Slip: estimated slippage; the difference between asset’s price before and after the trade
Output: estimated output quantity of tokens
Once ready, press “Buy” or “Sell.

When selling SPARTA for the first time you will need to sign an extra ‘Approve’
transaction.

Finally, confirm the transaction.

A popup reading “Swap Complete!” will appear once the trade is executed.
You can follow the transaction on the BSC explorer.
